Are your lollipops gluten-free/dairy-free/soy/vegan?
Our lollipops are gluten-free and dairy-free. Our lollipops contain traces of soy from the oil we spray on the candy molds. We list all the allergens in the candy on the label and in the online listing. We cannot guarantee that our lollipops are vegan as our color supplier cannot guarantee that their colors are vegan. Email us if you want more details.
Your collections look great, but I want to build my own.
That's cool. Most of our candy is bagged ahead of time, but we keep a small stash around to fill custom orders. The per-lollipop price in custom orders is $2 and requests for custom flavor mixes must be in multiples of 6 lollipops. The flavors available vary, so please ask but be aware that we may not be able to accommodate your request.
I've got a big event coming up! I'd love to order a lot of lollipops. Do you do bulk discounts?
We do! Take a look at our bulk & custom order page for more details. Don't be afraid to ask us even more questions.
How fast will my lollipops get to me?
Once you pay for them, we ship them out within 2 business days. They typically take a week or so to arrive in the United States, more for international locations.
If I don't live in the US, can I order lollipops?
Of course! We ship worldwide.
Can I send lollipops as a present?
Yes! Let us know what the gift address is and we'll use a gift receipt for the order. You can include a message to your giftee as well.
How long will the candy last?
When hard candy is stored in its sealed bag, it won't go bad. After awhile, your lollipops will begin to get sticky and a little wrinkly - even in the best storage conditions. They'll do ok as long as they're stored a cool place where it's not too humid (eg. not in direct sunlight, nor sitting on top of a space heater, nor stored in a refrigerator). In our experience, lollipops can be stored at room temperature in airtight containers for a few months.
How long before my event should I buy my candy?
We'll work with you to get you the prettiest lollipops we can. Let us know when your party is, and we'll ship you our freshest candy approximately 2 weeks before your event.
Where do you make your candy?
We are licensed food handlers in the State of Washington, and all our candy is made in a commercial kitchen (The Wandering Cafe, in fact).
I run a shop and I'd love to carry your lollipops.
That's great! We'd love to have you carry our lollipops. Email us for more details.
Is the name "This Charming Candy" a reference to The Smiths?
Yes! Susan has been a fan of The Smiths since the 8th grade. When we were brainstorming names for the company, most of them were utterly forgettable. But then Kate came up with This Charming Candy. We loved that it was a nod to The Smiths' song This Charming Man, and we knew it was a great name even if you don’t know the reference. According to Webster's dictionary, "charming" means "extremely pleasing or delightful" -- and we couldn't think of a more wonderful quality.
Who designs your packaging & takes your photos?
We are the chefs, not the designers. :) Our friends Justine, Kevin, and Marika generously donate their time to help This Charming Candy look its best!
